Saudi says it warned on al-Qaida threat from Yemen

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) - The Saudi Interior Ministry isn't naming the countries it warned, but confirms it has tipped off some nations about a new terror threat.

The Saudis say it comes from an al-Qaida offshoot based in neighboring Yemen.

France has said that Saudi intelligence services warned European officials that "Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula was doubtless active or envisioned being active" on the "European continent, notably France."
