Stocks plunge as Japan nuclear crisis worsens

NEW YORK (AP) - Stocks are plunging, and bond prices are rising, as the nuclear crisis in Japan intensifies following a deadly earthquake and tsunami. The Dow Jones industrial average fell almost 300 points in the opening minutes.
Energy prices are tumbling to the lowest levels this month as world markets react to the growing crisis in Japan.
