Turkish TV: NATO to command Libya operation

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) - Turkey's state-run TV has quoted the foreign minister as saying Turkey's demands have been met and NATO will now take command of the Libya military operation.
NATO needs the approval of all 28 of its members to do that, and Turkey had set conditions that were a stumbling block.
Earlier, Turkey's parliament authorized the government to participate in military operations in Libya, including enforcing the no-fly zone.
The country already had agreed to contribute four frigates and one submarine to the NATO naval force that is patrolling off Libya's coast to enforce a U.N. arms embargo.
