TOKYO (AP) - Japanese officials are telling parents to not let their infants drink tap water in Tokyo.
They say radiation from the crippled nuclear power plant has contaminated the water, making it potentially dangerous for some. Officials say levels of radioactive iodine are not high enough for the tap water to be a threat to adults.
Radiation also has been detected in some vegetables, raw milk and seawater.
Meanwhile, black smoke has been seen emerging from Unit 3 of the crippled nuclear plant in northeastern Japan, prompting a new evacuation of the complex.
Officials with Tokyo Electric Power Co. says workers from the entire Fukushima Dai-ichi plant have been temporarily evacuated.
