West Virginia man killed in semi accident in Hardin County

HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A man is dead after two semi-trucks crashed into each other on I-65.

It happened Saturday afternoon in Hardin county.

A semi driven by a West Virginia man was travelling behind another, driven by 38-year-old Avdija Huskic from St. Louis.

Police say the second semi crashed into Huskic's trailer. The driver was thrown from the cab of his semi, which stopped in the right lane of the interstate.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, despite bystanders attempts at CPR.

Huskic was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital with minor injuries and later released.

The name of the driver of the second semi has not yet been released.
