BONNIEVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky transportation officials say all lanes of Interstate 65 have reopened in Hart County following a tractor-trailer crash near Bonnieville, but some of the cleanup is being left until after the holiday weekend.
The Transportation Cabinet says the driver was taken from the scene by medical personnel, but no identity was available.
The wreck happened Tuesday at mile point 74.5. The cabinet says efforts were concentrated on removing the tractor and cleaning the road, especially considering threatening winter weather.
Officials say the southbound truck crashed into a barrier wall on the northbound side. Workers were closing the left southbound shoulder and placing caution tape around the trailer until cleanup resumes Monday for the trailer and its cargo, including canned food products. Message boards will alert motorists of the cleanup area.
