Police search for suspect in armed robbery at Boyle County bank

JUNCTION CITY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are searching for a man who robbed a Boyle County bank Saturday morning.

Junction City Police tell us it happened around 9:30a.m. at the PBK Bank on Henry Street.

Police say a suspect entered the bank armed with a handgun and carrying a bag and handed the teller a note demanding money.

Police say he fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money towards the Dollar General Store parking lot

Police describe the suspect as a white male about 6 feet tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a navy blue hoodie and a large belt buckle.

Police say they are looking into the possibility that this could be the same man who robbed the PBK bank in Mt. Vernon on the 20th.

" There's a lot of similarities in the stature of the individual, the build, the body shape, the type of clothing, and the MO of the crime," said Junction City Police Chief Merl Baldwin.
