Neighbors witness Harlan County stabbing

HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) Police received a disturbance call Friday evening around 11pm from the Upper Elcomb Drive area.

The say moments later, they received another call referencing a stabbing at the trailer park.

Three people were involved in the fight, and all suffered stab wounds.

Officials say two knives were involved, and all victims were taken to the Harlan ARH for treatment.

One neighbor, Matthew Hall, says he ran over to the trailer when he heard screams.

"I walked in and they were stabbing each other," says Hall, "I kind of broke them up."

Police suspect drugs and alcohol played a part in the fight, and they expect to file charges soon.

"That boy had a big old hole in his throat," said Hall, "I thought he was dead."

At this time police are not releasing the names of the victims but they say they are expected to recover.

The incident remains under investigation.
