Worker falls to death in Louisville elevator shaft

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - Investigators are trying to figure out why a worker fell to his death down an elevator shaft at a Louisville cement plant.

It happened Friday morning at the Kosmos Cement Plant.

Investigators say a worker with a temporary cleaning agency opened the door to an elevator, but there was no car there.

He stepped in and fell four stories to his death.

Police say this is being investigated as an accident.
