LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Police call it a random robbery that ended in murder, and they're still trying to track down the person who shot and killed a Marine and injured his wife outside a bar on Woodhill Drive.
Monday, Lexington Police gave us an update on their investigation into the shooting death of 26-year-old Jonathan Price.
Friends of the couple have raised more than $12,000.
"Anybody that's willing to sacrifice their life and has served and comes home and gets taken away like this, is just heart wrenching," Jennifer Jeffries, a co-worker of Megan's told us Monday.
Jeffries works alongside Megan Price at Posh Salon in Lexington.
"She's doing okay. She's as good as she can be in this situation," Jeffries says about Megan's condition.
In addition to the online fundraiser, Sunday, Posh Salon and Spa and Prince Cuts Barber Shop will hold a cut-a-thon. All proceeds will go directly to Megan.
"I know Megan's gonna be off work for a long time. We're not sure exactly how long, so we wanted to help out in any way we could," Jeffries said.
Lexington police are continuing to investigate. They now say two individuals approached the Prices around 1:30 Saturday morning, asking for money. They don't believe Jonathan Price's murder is in any way connected to the other three weekend shootings.
"I think we're all still in shock," Roger Newton, a friend of the Price family, told us Monday.
Family friends Roger and Pam Newton had nothing but good things to say about Jonathan and Megan.
"People that would do anything for anyone else. They had a zest for life. They liked to have fun together and with their friends," Roger Newton says about his friends.
Police do not have a clear description of the shooter, so they're asking for the public's help.
Jonathan Price's visitation has been set for Tuesday at Woodford Community Christian Church from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Additional visitation will be Wednesday at Parrot and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral will follow at 1:00 pm.
