Louisville High School's controversial policy to stay in place

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - A policy some consider controversial will stay instated at a Louisville high school.

The policy, which allows transgender students to use the restrooms and locker rooms of their choice, has been protested since the school's council approved it last month.

Atherton's principal, Thomas Aberli, school's council rejected an appeal of the policy Tuesday.

Opponents of the policy say it violates the law and brings worries for safety and liability.
