PULASKI CO, Ky. (WKYT/WYMT) - Somerset-Pulaski County Rescue Squad members recovered the body of 18-year-old Tobias Napier of Somerset, Sunday afternoon.

Officials say Napier was on Lake Cumberland with friends, near the Slate Branch Boat Ramp. Napier was sitting on the edge of the lake, before he somehow slipped and fell into the water. His body was found more than 60 feet below the lake's surface.

"I hate that he's gone. He'll be missed. He's in a better place now," said Joshua Duncan, Napier's brother.

Officials call what happened to Napier an accident. At this time, there's no reason to believe drugs or alcohol played a role in his death.

"I just can't believe it happened to him," Duncan told WKYT.

The family says they'll need help with funeral expenses. Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset is accepting donations on their behalf.
