JENKINS, Ky. (WYMT) - Update 8/4/14:

Jenkins Police say four people have overdosed since Friday on a potent new form of synthetic marijuana called "Chill Out."

"Chill Out" is labelled as potpourri not intended for human consumption, but police say it's putting people in the hospital.

Early Monday morning, police arrested 64-year-old Norman Monroe and charged him with felony trafficking and wanton endangerment.

They say more arrests are likely as the investigation continues.

Police say they found two men intoxicated Friday night on the corner of Main Street and Cove Rd.

They say one of the men had no pulse, and had to be revived with CPR. They say both had taken "Chill Out."

"It's either very very potent, something we haven't seen before, or it's some kind of ingredient that's in it that reacts really violently with people, making them just deathly ill," said Jenkins Police Chief James Stephens.

Stephens says two more people overdosed Saturday, including a 15-year-old boy who was taken to UK Hospital.

"As of a little while ago, I was advised that he is in very very serious condition in a medically induced coma, and they actually say the outlook is not too good."

Police set up a controlled buy, and purchased a single packet of the drug to use as evidence.

From there, police were able to get a warrant at a home on Smokey Row in Jenkins.

Inside, police found several guns, cash, pills, and more packets of "Chill Out."

64-year-old Norman Monroe faces charges of trafficking and wanton endangerment.

"Obviously if you're selling something to somebody knowing that the package says 'not for human consumption' and you know this person is going to smoke it, you obviously shouldn't be selling that stuff to them," Stephens said.

Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to call the Jenkins Police Department at 606-832-4411.

Kentucky State Police and Neon Police are also helping with the investigation.
