Burglar at Lexington gas station takes off with cartons of cigarettes

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington police searching for burglar who broke into a gas station and stole cigarettes.

Police said after looking through surveillance footage, they found the thief threw a brick or rock through the glass door of the Marathon gas station on Main Street and Ashland Avenue.

Police told WKYT the station's alarm went off just before 3 a.m. Tuesday, but when officers got to the station, the burglar was gone.

The business owner and employees have been taking stock of missing goods, and trying to clean up the mess.
