SCOTT CO, Ky. (WKYT) - Police tell WKYT that four people were injured in a Saturday evening crash in Georgetown.
It happened near Exit 129 on Interstate 75. Police say the crash involved nine people. Four of them are injured.
We're told a van ran off the road causing six motorcycles to crash.
When it began raining around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, nine motorcyclists decided to pull over and park the bikes underneath an overpass on Interstate 75 northbound, until the bad weather passed.
A short time later, a van traveling in the same direction hydroplaned and crashed into all the motorcycles totaling five of them.
Four of the motorcyclists were taken to the hospital. We're told that at least one of them has broken limbs and another victim has very serious injuries.
One of the motorcyclists calls the incident one of the scariest moments of his life.
"We're all going to get hurt because I saw the van, me and one other person are lucky we jumped over the wall but the ones that were on this side of the wall got hurt," Frank Lawson, a motorcyclist, says.
Multiple lanes of the Interstate were shutdown.
