Argument between neighbors ends in gunfire in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Police have arrested a man accused of firing shots at his neighbor on Monday.

Officers say multiple shots were fired around 3 p.m. on Monday outside a home near the intersection of Wilson Downing Road and Lansdowne Drive. Police told WKYT that there had been an ongoing dispute between the two neighbors.

Police arrested Bryan Judson, 41, of Lexington. Judson is accused of firing a handgun from his backyard into his neighbor's backyard. As a result of those shots, police found some bullet holes in the neighbor's vehicle. However, no one was injured.

When Lexington Police arrived, they approached the home carefully because officers were not sure if Judson was still armed.

"Because shots were fired from that residence, we were very hesitant to just come right up to the door, so we approached very cautiously and as tactfully as we could. Once we got up here, near the home, we were able to get him on the phone. He did answer his phone and he agreed to come outside for us," said Lexington Police Lt. Jesse Harris.

Officers said intoxication of some sort could have played a factor in the shooting.

Judson faces four wanton endangerment charges. He also faces charges for criminal mischief and for discharging a firearm within city limits.
