A few flakes possible tonight

A cold Christmas night is on tap for the bluegrass state. Readings overnight will drop into the middle 20s for many as some clouds roll back in. These clouds may drop a few snowflakes on many areas as a weak system pushes by to the north.

Thursday will see a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the 30s.

Milder weather returns for Friday and Saturday. High temps will reach the 40s under partly sunny skies.

Some light rain will develop on Sunday as arctic air dives in from the northwest. This will send temps crashing down by the end of the day and set the stage for very cold temps early next week. A couple of snow showers and periods of light snow will be possible.
