Breaker causes power outage at University of Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- The first day of classes ended with a power outage for some students at the University of Kentucky.

The power went out in the Blanding Tower area Wednesday night.

UK police tell WKYT a breaker panel caused the outage.

They also say no one got stuck in any of the building's elevators and no one had to be evacuated from the building.

Police say generators did kick on and workers from UK facilites were called in to fix the problem.

We're told the power is back on.
