Chilly temps take over

Chilly temps and gusty winds are combining to give us some ugly weather here in the middle of May. Temps for the past few weeks have been more typical of summer. Temps over the next several days will feel more like fall.

Thermometers will drop into the upper 30s and low 40s tonight as skies slowly clear. The clearing will give way to building clouds and scattered showers and thunderstorms for Friday. Some small hail will be possible with temps in the upper 50s to near 60.

Saturday morning could see temps nearing record lows in the mid to upper 30s. Partly sunny skies with a small threat for a shower will be noted for the rest of the day with temps in the low 60s.

Much better weather moves in by Sunday and that will carry us into a warmer week ahead. Highs by the middle of next week may be back into the 80s.
