Cool weather continues

The month of May is off and running on a very cool and windy note across central and eastern Kentucky. A big upper level low continues to spin across the Great Lakes and will keep the cooler weather through Friday.

Highs for the Kentucky Oaks look to be around the 60 degree mark with a mix of sun and clouds. There is just the smallest threat for isolated showers going up.

Derby Day looks mainly sunny with highs approaching 70 degrees.

It looks like a weak system will work in here for late Sunday and could bring some isolated showers and storms. That will zip by to our east by Monday and allow for a summer surge of temps to move in.

Highs for most of next week will be in the 80s.
