Crews put out fire at home on Hollow Creek Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. Firefighters and ambulance crews are on the scene of a fire on Hollow Creek Road, where visible smoke can be seen coming out of one building.

Firefighters say they received the call around 6:15 on Monday morning. They tell WKYT's Sean Evans that when they arrived, flames were shooting out of the front of the single-family home, located about a block away from Russell Cave Road.

The home is unoccupied and empty; fire investigators could not say whether there were any utilities running to the home.

Firefighters are still working to determine a cause.

There is a traffic impact to people who live on Hollow Creek, which crews have blocked off while they investigate the fire. Russell Cave and other surrounding streets are not affected.
