Date set for Bass Webb sentencing set in Bourbon County

A notorious killer headed back to court Wednesday morning.

Bass Webb appeared in Bourbon County where, police say he tried to run over two corrections officers and spit on a judge.

The incidents happened after Webb murdered his girlfriend in 2009. He's also accused in another girlfriend's murder in 2003.

Webb is now one step closer to being sentenced after he was convicted of trying to run over two Bourbon County Jail employees. That sentencing should happen early next year.

Attorneys and the judge worked out a date of January 27 for the attempted murder sentencing and for a trial date of March 24 for a charge of intimidating a judicial officer. There will be pretrial hearings before then and the defense attorney suggested he'd look into requesting a change of venue because of the attention focused on Webb's cases over the past few years.

Webb is also facing another murder trial in Rowan County. We're told that trial should begin next month.

The judge suggested Clark County could be a good place for a change of venue if it's requested.
