Fiery crash closes Interstate 75 in Tennessee

A fiery crash involving many vehicles closed interstate 75 in Tennessee on Wednesday.

CAMPBELL CO, Tn. (WKYT) - A fiery crash involving many vehicles closed interstate 75 in Tennessee on Wednesday.

The crash happened in Campbell County, Tennessee around 30 miles south of the Kentucky state line.

Police say a tractor trailer crossed the median and hit another tractor trailer head-on.

Some other vehicles were also hit. The crash then sparked a massive fire, and some explosions.

Police say one person was killed, and three others were injured in the crash.

Two firefighters were also injured while battling the fire.

People living within a half-mile radius from the crash were evacuated for a few hours but they've been allowed to return home.

Police say all lanes, northbound and southbound, have reopened at the scene of the crash.
