LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington firefighters spent much of Monday night on the scene of a fire that damaged an apartment building.
The fire broke out just before 7:30 along Redding Road. Everyone inside got out safely and no one was injured. Thanks to some quick work, firefighters say they were able to get the fire under control before it spread to far.
"We were able to contain it to one apartment so even though the folks that live in that apartment wont be able to be back in tonight, the rest in the building will without any extension of damage to other buildings," Lexington Battalion Chief Jeff Nantz tells WKYT.
At last check, firefighters had not determined a cause of the fire.
