LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Flooding on a Lexington roadway caused issues for several drivers Saturday morning, including a Police cruiser who had gone out to help a stranded vehicle.
Officials say the cruiser got stuck in high water after traveling down the road to try to help another driver who was stranded.
They say when the cruiser got on the scene, the other driver was gone, but the cruiser itself became stranded in the high water under the bridge, and had to call for help.
Rescue crews came out and were able to get the cruiser out of the high water and back onto the roadway.
Officials warn those out driving to never try to drive down a flooded roadway.
