A former assistant daycare director has pleaded guilty to fraud.
On Tuesday, Pamela Sandlin, 55, admitted in court to defrauding Kids Connection Learning Center in Nicholasville.
Sandlin admitted to fraudulently taking thousands of dollars over several years, while working as the assistant director of the daycare.
The company takes in $10,000 in federally funding annually.
According to her plea agreement, Sandlin was responsible for collecting money from parents, making bank deposits, and documenting financial transactions for KCLC. Court documents also state Sandlin altered company records to conceal the fraud.
A hearing is scheduled for December 11 to determine how much money Sandlin took from KCLC. Sandlin will be sentenced during the hearing. She faces a maximum of 10 years in prison.
