Former UK football player charged with bank fraud

A former University of Kentucky football player has been arrested after police say he stole from two Eastern Kentucky banks.

HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A former University of Kentucky football player has been arrested after police say he stole from two Eastern Kentucky banks.

Randy Jenkins is lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center. He's charged with two counts of theft by deception.

According to the Harlan Daily Enterprise, Jenkins is accused of making withdrawals from closed accounts at two different banks in the County.

The total withdrawn is around $30,000.

Jenkins was a quarterback at the University of Kentucky in the 1980's.
