Former UK player cited for selling counterfeit tickets

LEXINGTON, Ky (WKYT) - Lexington Police cited former UK player Preston LeMaster for theft by deception. Police say LeMaster sold counterfeit UK Basketball tickets to six different people. Police say all the victims were paid back.

Lexington Police say 30 year-old LeMaster could face 1-5 years in prison if convicted of the charges. He is due in court March 25.

Court documents indicate LeMaster sold the tickets in January. The citation says he "created a false impression as the validity of property in order to deceive" his victims out of more than $500.

The Bourbon County native was a walk-on at UK and played from 2002-2006.
