Getting to the Final Four, travel tips for fans

The price for seats at the Final Four and for seats on a plane to get you there, are expensive.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - UK students and season ticket holders had an opportunity on Monday to purchase tickets thorough the UK ticket office.

WKYT found that there are still tickets selling online. The prices run anywhere from $200 to close to $2,000 for a single seat inside the AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

If you plan on flying into Dallas, get ready to pay a steep price for plane tickets. Round-trip flights from Lexington to Dallas and from Louisville to Dallas for the weekend start at about $1,100 a person.

"The air fare is pretty high. I will say that the Dallas hotels are not as expensive as I thought they were gonna be, but there's so many that's the reason," said Melonie Graves with Avant Travel.

Avant Travel is offering a charter flight to Texas. The University of Kentucky Alumni Association is doing the same.

"We actually have a charter air and hotel package that we're promoting through the Alumni Association. I know there's other groups that have those arrangements as well. So hopefully that airline price is a little bit cheaper than you would be able to get commercially now," said Jill Smith, with the UK Alumni Association.

If you get to Texas and can't get seats to the game, you can hang out at The UK Alumni Association's pre-game party at Fish Bone Grill.

If you go to the UK Alumni website, you'll find information regarding their charter flight, as well as alumni pre-game party plans. Those can be found by visiting the link below.

Avant Travel will be taking calls for their charter..
