Missing Taylor County man found alive

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - The Taylor County Sheriff's department says a missing Taylor County man, at the center of a Golden Alert, has been found alive.

55-year-old John Gilbert Kessinger was last seen at his home on Saloma Road in Campbellsville on Wednesday, October 9th around 1pm by his wife.

Officials say Kessinger has been diagnosed with early stages of Alzheimers. Family say he has been known to find rides to visit family in Dandridge, Tennessee near Knoxville, but that no family in that area had heard from him since his disappearance.

Late Monday afternoon, the Taylor County Sheriff's department sent out a notification, saying that Kessinger had been located by Kentucky State Police in Sonora.
