FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - The group, Kentuckians for Medicinal Marijuana, met in front of Senate Health & Welfare Committee meeting Wednesday.
Patients and advocates testified in favor of medicinal marijuana, specifically cannabis oil. They testified that the oil its effective for treating seizures in people with epilepsy and autism.
Senate Bill 43 would allow patients in Kentucky to qualify to use medicinal marijuana through the health department.
