Homeless man taken to hospital after with severe burns from campfire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A homeless man was taken to the hospital after firefighters say he accidentally rolled into a camp fire.

Investigators were called to the area off West Loudon Avenue near the Hope Center around midnight Thursday. When they arrived on the scene they found a homeless camp set up behind a nearby feed store.

That's where they found a man with severe burns all over his body.

Firefighters are urging people in need not to hide out, but to use the resources available to them.

The victim was rushed to UK Hospital with serious injuries but is expected to be ok.
