Hotel construction set for June in downtown Lexington

Construction on a new hotel in downtown Lexington will begin next month.

The 21-C museum hotel will be built in the old First National Bank Building at the corner of Main and Upper.

The Herald-Leader reports the project will cost around 43 million.

That's three million more than originally estimated because of intrastructure problems in the historic building.

The hotel is expected to be finished by the end of 2015.
