Jackson County woman killed in crash days after husband dies from illness

JACKSON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Just days after her husband died, a Kentucky woman has been killed in a crash.

State Police say the crash happened Monday morning on Highway 421 near the Tyner community of Jackson County.

They say Lida Pearl Abner, 72, lost control of her car and went off the road. We're told the car overturned and ended up in a creek, killing Abner.

Lakes Funeral Home in McKee is handing her funeral arrangements. Workers there tell us Abner's husband died last week after a long illness.
