Jimmy Rose singing on America's Got Talent (NBC)
FLAT LICK, Ky. (WYMT) - NBC's America's Got Talent contestant Jimmy Rose did a special concert for an Eastern Kentucky woman.
Ruth Nunley, 84, wanted a CD of Jimmy Rose singing, so he gave her one in person!
Rose went to her home in Flat Lick on Tuesday and sang some songs for her and her family.
"As we were coming through the front door, her face was kind of serious. She was kind of quiet and the minute she saw Jimmy, it was like someone injected sunshine in this lady. She was so excited to see this young man come through her front door," said Brian O'Brien who was with Rose.
"You have heard people making days, you made my year," Nunley told Rose after he sang Amazing Grace.
"She asked for a CD, a disc, of me singing, I thought, since I'm in town, it's the least I can do to take time and go meet her in person," Rose said.
Rose says he chose to sing Amazing Grace for her because they talked about singing in church.
Nunley and her family declined to do interviews.
