LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- The Fayette County Sheriff's Office has an alert about a jury duty phone scam.
Investigators say some people in Lexington reported receiving calls from someone claiming to be a Fayette County deputy.
The caller threatens to arrest the victim for missing jury duty.
Investigators say the caller then claims the victim can pay a fine over the phone to avoid being arrested.
Investigators say this is a scam, and no law enforcement agency would make these kinds of calls.
