Laurel County deputies say man exposed himself through window

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say a Laurel County man is in jail for what he allegedly did outside a woman's window.

Jerry Collier is from East Bernstadt. Police say he got in the habit of leaving a woman that lives here on KY-1376 numerous love letter, but it is what followed that had police called and put him behind bars.

Gilbert Acciardo with the Laurel Co. Sheriff's Office says, "On this occasion he also indecently exposed himself."

Police were called after they say Collier got in front of his neighbor's window and disrobed.

"When our officers pulled up, he was still in front of the window. He tried to flee the scene, and they captured him there at the scene."

Police say Collier didn't try to get in, but just the sight of him outside her window was reason enough to call for help.

"I'm not sure he had exposed himself previously but he has been on her property before and left other love notes."

Collier is charged with second degree indecent exposure, third degree criminal trespassing and second degree disorderly conduct.

Police say the victim was home alone with this all happened.
