Lexington Police investigating after shots fired into homes

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Police responded to north Lexington after neighbors reported hearing 20 shots fired in the area.

The shots were fired Sunday night on Douglas Avenue, close to Lima Drive, where another shooting occurred that killed a man.

Police tell us they found bullet holes in two houses, including in windows and also in storm doors. The house police think was targeted had the most damage. Three people, two adults and a child, were inside when the shooting happened, but were not injured.

Police are searching for shooters, and are trying to figured out whether it's connected to the deadly shooting on Lima Drive.
