Lexington food bank wins SUV to deliver food

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A Lexington food bank has won a new sport utility vehicle to use to deliver food to people in need.

Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. says God's Pantry Food Bank won a Toyota Highlander in its 100 Cars For Good program. The automaker gives away up to 100 vehicles in 50 days to eligible nonprofit organizations in the program. Supporters vote on Facebook to choose two organizations a day to receive vehicles.

God's Pantry says on its website it has worked for 56 years to collect and distribute donated food to agencies in central and eastern Kentucky and currently works with more than 275 agencies to fight hunger.
