Lexington maintenance worker arrested for stealing from resident

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) Police say a maintenance worker employed at an apartment complex broke into a resident's apartment and stole jewelry that he sold to a pawn shop.

Lonnie Van Combs was arrested and charged with burglary and receiving stolen property on October 2nd after the victim identified him as the thief and confirmed the jewelry had been stolen. Combs was employed as a maintenance worker at the Bradford Apartments where the theft was committed.

Combs was also charged with stealing tools from his employer and selling those to a pawn shop on three separate occasions.

He is currently being held in the Fayette County Jail.
