Lexington police arrest man accused of attacking wife with screwdriver

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington police arrested a man Monday after they said he attacked his wife with a screwdriver.

Police said they were called to the Shell gas station at the corner of Eastland Parkway and New Circle Road early Monday morning. They were responding to a report of a domestic assault.

The victim told police she had argued with her husband, who then stabbed her shoulder and neck with a screwdriver.

Police found Gerald Williams walking along Eastland Parkway and they arrested him and charged him with assault. His wife was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
