Lexington police collect unused medication at Med Toss

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington police will be collecting unused medication on Saturday, April 26 for free, at two different locations.

Anyone who wants to drop off expired or unused prescription and over-the-counter medication can go to Kentucky American Water at 2300 Richmond Road in Lexington, or Consolidated Baptist Church at 1625 Russell Cave Road.

This is in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration National Take Back Initiative. It's in an effort to keep drugs from falling into the wrong hands, and to get rid of them in a way that is environmentally safe.
