LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are searching for a man who robbed this Subway early Saturday morning.

It happened around 8:00 a.m. at the Subway on Kenesaw Drive. Police say a man wearing a mask and a jean jacket walked into the restaurant with a handgun and demanded money.

He got away with some cash and was last seen running toward Kroger. Police say only a clerk was inside of the store when the robbery happened and no one was hurt.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his 20’s or 30’s. He’s about 5’10” with a medium build.

Police say the store does have surveillance video of the robber. They hope it will give them a better idea of what happened.

“Pretty typical robbery from what we've seen in the past," says Lt. Mark Brand, Lexington police. "Quick entry, quick exit, mask and left. Thankfully no injuries.”

The restaurant's owner did not want to release surveillance video of the suspect.
