Lightning hits staff member at Creation Museum in Boone County

BOONE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) -- Lightning hit a staff member at the Creation Museum in northern Kentucky Wednesday afternoon.

A worker on the museum's new zip line attraction was standing on the ground holding a line when a bolt hit nearby.

Staffers were in the process of moving customers out of the area after reports of lightning.

The injured worker is at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Florence.

The Creation Museum added the zip lines for the 2013 season in an effort to draw more visitors.

The attraction was closed to visitors after the incident.
