Police say Louisville man tried to lure Lexington teen through Facebook

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The arrest warrant police served Houston Young says he admitted to sending messages, asking for sex, to someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl. He's now in jail, because he was actually messaging that girl's mother.

Police say it started when a woman was checking her daughter's Facebook account and accepted a friend request from Young. She told police she knew him from church.

Police say Young initiated a conversation that became sexual in nature. They say Young sent messages saying he would take the teenager to a hotel room and then described the sexual acts he would perform.

The mother called police. They say Young admitted to sending the messages and thought he was talking to that woman's daughter.

Police say she did the right thing by contacting them.

Young is from Louisville. He's charged with unlawful electronic communications with a minor.
