LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — The Louisville Zoo's latest addition is a male jaguar named after professional basketball star LeBron James.
LeBron the jaguar is four years old and came to Louisville from the Brevard Zoo in Florida as part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums' national breeding program. He was born at the Akron Zoo in Ohio, which is also the birthplace of LeBron James.
Jaguars can grow to six feet in length and weigh between 120 to 200 pounds.
The zoo also added two new addax antelope calves recently born on zoo grounds. A male was born in mid-September and a female was born in August.
