MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky. (AP) - The campground store at Mammoth Cave National Park will stop selling beer and wine because of what officials say is an increase in alcohol-related incidents.

Chief Park Ranger Brad McDougal told the Glasgow Daily Times the last opportunity to buy booze from Caver's will be Aug. 17. At the close of business that day, alcoholic beverages will be removed from the shelves.

McDougal says the sales are causing a problem that park can't justify trying to handle with the staff on hand.
