Man hit with crow bar in Winchester alley

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) - Winchester police are investigating after a man says he was hit in the head with a crow bar early Tuesday morning.

Police were dispatched to Linden Alley between Cherry and Oak Street around 2:30am Tuesday morning. When they arrived they found a man lying in the alley with multiple head injuries.

The victim who police identify as a 26-year-old male, was taken to Clark Regional Medical Center and was later airlifted to UK Hospital with head trauma. Police say the victim was talking and conscious at the time they arrived on the scene.

The victims name and condition are not being released at this time.
