LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (WKYT) - Ten months after a woman was killed in a head-on crash, a man has been charged with her murder.

State police say the Anderson County Grand Jury has indicted Eric Jenkins, 42, for murder and DUI of a commercial vehicle. In September of 2012, state police say Jenkins was driving a dump truck when he crossed the center line of Highway 62 East in Anderson County, hitting a van head-on.

The driver of the van, Marie Garmon, 43, died a few days after the crash. Garmon was a nurse with Hospice of the Bluegrass in Frankfort.

Jenkins is being held in the Shelby County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
