Man killed in Pulaski County crash

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are investigating a deadly crash in Pulaski County.

Investigators say Rubin Coffey, 36, of Tennessee was killed in the crash.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, off Highway 70 near Eubank. While not much is known about what sent Coffey's delivery truck rolling off the roadway, investigators on the scene believe he likely lost control after his passenger side tires went onto the shoulder, and he over corrected.

"There are a few marks on the roadway suggesting that he just lost control of his vehicle. He was the only person inside the truck," said Deputy Danny Pevley, of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies say Coffey was also the only vehicle involved, and that it appears his truck only rolled once before hitting a barbed wife fence. Coffey had to be cut out from the cab of the truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say Coffey was not wearing his seat belt.
